Hoarding & Complex Decluttering Support

In some homes, belongings gradually accumulate over time until living spaces begin to feel restricted or difficult to use. Rooms may no longer function as they once did, and deciding what to keep or let go of can feel overwhelming.

For many people, letting go of possessions can bring up strong emotions, making it hard to know where to begin.

Hoarding behaviours can develop for many different reasons — emotional, practical or situational. Every situation is unique, and not everyone living with a large number of belongings would be considered to have hoarding disorder.

Hoarding disorder was formally recognised in 2013, which helped increase awareness and understanding of the challenges people face.

A Supportive, Non-Judgemental Approach

At Tidy My Nest, I offer calm, respectful support to help individuals and families gently regain control of their living spaces.

We work together at a pace that feels comfortable, reviewing belongings and developing practical strategies to help create a home that feels safer, more organised and easier to manage.

My aim is to make the process feel manageable and supportive, never rushed or overwhelming.
